Enrichment Update – Autumn Term 2026
We are delighted to share the range of enrichment, revision and sporting opportunities available to pupils at The Hayling College this autumn. Our enrichment programme is designed to give pupils opportunities beyond the classroom to develop their interests, build confidence, stay active, make new friends and receive additional academic support.
Sport and Physical Activity
There are also plenty of opportunities for pupils to get active.
Our lunchtime sports programme runs from 1:10–1:45pm in the Sports Hall and alternates between Basketball in Week A and Badminton in Week B. Tuesday is for Year 7, Wednesday for Years 8 and 9, and Thursday for Years 10 and 11.
Free after-school sports clubs run from 2:50–3:30pm during Term 1. These include Netball for all years on Monday, Football for Years 7 and 8 on Monday, Netball and Badminton for all years on Wednesday, and Table Tennis for all years on Thursday.
Pupils taking part in sporting activities should bring appropriate clothing and equipment for the activity and weather conditions.
Board Games Club
For pupils looking for something a little different, our Board Games Club provides a relaxed and sociable opportunity to play games, have fun and meet new people.
The club takes place every Thursday from 2:50–3:50pm in MFL1, with a range of games available.
Get Involved!
Enrichment is an important part of life at The Hayling College, and we encourage pupils to try something new, develop existing interests and take advantage of the support available to them.
Whether it is boosting a GCSE grade, representing the College through sport, keeping active at lunchtime or enjoying a board game with friends, there is something for everyone this term.
We look forward to seeing as many pupils as possible getting involved!
Year 11 After-School Revision
Our Year 11 After-School Revision Offer is now running for Autumn 2026. These focused sessions provide pupils with additional support from subject specialists as they prepare for their GCSEs and vocational qualifications.
Monday: Maths, 2:50–3:20pm in the Maths Rooms; GCSE Drama/BTEC Dance, 3:20–3:50pm in PA2.
Wednesday: Combined Science & Triple Science, 2:50–3:20pm in Science 3/1; Spanish, 3:20–3:50pm in MFL1.
Thursday: English Language, 2:50–3:20pm in Eng2; D&T/FP&N – NEA, 3:20–3:50pm in Tech 1.
Friday: English Literature, 2:50–3:50pm in Eng 2.
Pupils are strongly encouraged to make the most of these sessions as part of their independent revision and preparation throughout Year 11. Please continue to check school communications for any updates to the programme.
