History Vision:
The Study of History is crucial for all people to gain an understanding of the different interpretations of how we have arrived at where we are today.
It is imperative that we as human beings’ study, the major events, individuals, societies and cultures that have shaped our world.
Our Historical skills should also make us equipped to understand that our interpretation of the past is never a finished product and that we should always be open to consider new and alternative views.
The study of History will help our students to:
be active citizens, developing an awareness of their rights and responsibilities in an ever-changing world;
be aware of the diversity of experience of their peers and societies across the world;
learn from the past to promote tolerance and respect
develop an intellectual curiosity and lifelong love of and interest in the study of history.
